Taylor Swift "Long Live (Taylor's Version)" video, testo e traduzione

Oggi è uscito “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” e una delle canzoni dal video più interessante è sicuramente “Long Live”

Taylor non ha ancora estratto singoli da “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” cosa che temevo, essendo in un tour delle sue ere, non a caso chiamato The Eras Tour – dove esibisce solo la Taylor’s Version di “Enchanted” da “Speak Now”.

Nel video Taylor’s Version di “Long Live”, Taylor riprende una sua vecchia esibizione live, sostituendola con la musica della nuova versione, cosa abbastanza interessante. Interessante anche la chitarra glitterata, luccicante e brillante, un rimando a “Bejeweled” ma anche allo “Speak Now World Tour”.

La scelta di come creare il video è stata della stessa Taylor Swift, come dicono i credits, ma attenzione la canzone non è singolo: è semplicemente la canzone in evidenza dall’album sul canale di Taylor.

SIGNIFICATO

La canzone è un inno all’amore e alla vita, e alle difficoltà superate da Taylor col suo compagno. È anche un inno all’immortalità, a come Taylor immagina il futuro, di essere ricordata per sempre. Considerando che la canzone è stata pubblicata nel 2010, e una versione alternativa con Paula Fernandes nel 2012, quando canta “era la fine di un decennio, ma l’inizio di un’ era” non si sbaglia, né adesso, né nel 2010. Quella decade ha visto ascendere le maggior popstar di sempre, come lei, ma anche altre: basti pensare a Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, il rinnovato successo di Britney Spears con “Femme Fatale”, l’arrivo sulle scene di Nicki Minaj (che per quanto io detesti ha avuto un impatto sulla musica pop, con canzoni come “Super Bass”) il grande debutto di Rihanna, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber e anche quello della stessa Taylor.
