Finalmente ecco il primo singolo da “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” un’avventura mozzafiato!
Nel video, un gruppo di tre criminali deve compiere una rapina nel museo di Taylor Swift…Con l’aiuto di una donna hacker, un’altra donna si accerta che Taylor sia rinchiusa nella cassaforte del museo, e vi entra. In una scena, oltrepassa dei raggi laser capaci di far scattare un’allarme, scena iconica che ci riporta al video di “Toxic” di Britney Spears. Viene quindi raggiunta da un uomo, e insieme combattono dei Ninja che cercano di ucciderli e impedire loro di proseguire. I due criminali, coordinati dalla donna hacker, posizionano delle bombe viola (in riferimento a “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” sul caveau/cassaforte, facendolo esplodere e liberando Taylor, per poi fuggire su un furgone. Inizialmente, Taylor è restia a salirci, nel suo museo c’era tutto il suo mondo, e adesso qualcuno lo sta facendo esplodere, ma viene convinta e fugge con i suoi amici.
La canzone è stata pubblicata con Jack Antonoff alla produzione.

Ieri sera, durante il The Eras Tour, Taylor ha fatto salire sul palco gli attori del video, Joey King, Taylor Lautner e Presley Cash.
Il video è stato diretto dalla stessa Taylor Swift, nell’Aprile 2023, a Liverpool, in UK. Descrivendo il concept del video, ha affermato di “voler mostrare visivamente una storia che rappresentasse i modi in cui [i suoi fan] l’hanno aiutata a riprendersi la [sua] musica”.
